[ARCHIVED] Best Practices Excellence Program Recognizes the Martin County Clerk's Office

Clerk Timmann receiving Recognition of Excellence award

The Martin County Clerk and Comptroller’s Office was recognized at the Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers (FCCC) annual summer training conference among the 40 Association’s members who participated in its first annual Best Practices Excellence Program. Clerk Carolyn Timmann received recognition for Martin County in all seven of the program categories.

The Best Practices Excellence Program was established this year as an opportunity for Clerks to receive Recognition of Excellence certificates for completing assessments that evaluate acceptance of certain Best Practices for office responsibilities in serving the public.

The 2020-21 Best Practices Excellence Program evaluated and recognized clerks and comptrollers for compliance in bail bonds forfeitures, court compliance services, confidential judicial records, guardianship audits, marriage licenses, recording fundamentals and handling pro se documents.

“I am excited and pleased to report the Martin County Clerk’s Office was successful in earning recognition in all seven of the excellence categories,” said Clerk Carolyn Timmann, President-Elect of the FCCC.  “Every day, it is the goal of my office and my deputy clerks to provide our community with the best possible resources and service.  I am fortunate to have such dedicated and professional staff.”

Among the 68 Clerks and Comptrollers, a total of 40 offices participated in the program with 18 offices receiving a Recognition of Excellence certificate in all seven categories.
