[ARCHIVED] Online Court Case Access: Changes to the Statewide Comprehensive Case Information System (CCIS)

Comprehensive Case Information System (CCIS) logo

Some users of the Comprehensive Case Information System (CCIS) may have noticed changes to their access to case documents and dockets. The CCIS administrator implemented security changes to the system on June 8, 2021, which resulted in these impacts. CCIS now permits case access pursuant to the Florida Supreme Court’s Access Security Matrix. CCIS reports that some users have lost access to case materials previously available to them. Private attorneys of record, for example, may have lost access to documents in civil cases. CCIS is working to remedy these issues and restore access pursuant to the Supreme Court’s guidelines. Users should be aware that some of the Court’s guidelines are more restrictive than what was previously permitted. One of these changes will require attorneys of record in certain probate cases to submit a request to view case documents through CCIS.

In the interim, registered users of the Martin County Clerk of Court’s case management system, Benchmark Web, will still be able to access case documents as allowed by the Supreme Court. Access to Benchmark Web was not affected by the changes to CCIS.
